In June 2016, I had the distinct privilege of serving as a member of the Board of Directors Nepal Library Foundation . It was an incredible honor to be acknowledged by the Board for my outstanding contributions to the mission of developing library resources in Nepal. The recognition was a testament to my unwavering commitment to fundraising and project coordination, aspects of philanthropy that are essential to the success of an organisation like ours. Throughout my tenure, I took on the responsibility of coordinating the establishment of over 150 libraries across Nepal. This endeavour was fuelled by my firm belief in the power of education and access to knowledge. By spearheading these initiatives, I aimed to provide communities in Nepal with the valuable resources and opportunities that libraries offer. Each library project required meticulous planning, fundraising efforts, and coordination with various stakeholders. It was a labor of love, driven by a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals who lacked access to educational materials. Witnessing the positive impact that these libraries had on the communities they served was truly gratifying and reinforced my dedication to the cause. Being part of the Nepal Library Foundation’s board allowed me to contribute to a noble mission and work alongside individuals who shared the same vision. I am immensely proud of the accomplishments we achieved and remain committed to continuing my efforts to promote literacy and learning in Nepal.
