In February, 2023 an eleven member delegation of the Brecon Town Council led by the Mayor of Brecon Town, Councillor David Meredith travelled all the way from the UK to Nepal for the completion of Town Twinning event between Brecon, Wales and Dhampus, Nepal. The delegation included many members of Dhampus Pariwar UK (DPUK) among others.

Prior to the main event in Dhampus, on 9 February 2023, a welcome and briefing event for the guests from Brecon Town was organised in Pokhara by Dhampus Pariwar UK. At the event, the group was welcomed by DPUK Patron Maj Khusiman Gurung, MVO and Chief Adviser Lt Lalitprasad Gurung, the Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Mr Dhana Raj Aryal, Gandaki Province Member Mr Ganeshman Gurung and the Tourism Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal to Wales Mr Som Nath Sapkota.

On the Anniversary Day, the guests from Brecon including many members of DPUK were welcomed at Aaldanda with fresh flower garlands and Naumati Baja. They were then escorted through villages before arriving at the Ward office in Deurali for a formal programme led by the chairman of Dhampus Brecon Twinning Association Nepal / Ward Chairman Mr Baikuntha Bhandari. At the well-organized formal programme ,the Brecon Dhampus Twinning Association UK handed over sports kits to all five schools of Dhampus and a DAMAHA to Naumati Baja Toli.

Afterwards, a dinner night was organized at the Pinnacle Range Hotel which was attended by the guests and many members from Dhampus including the Gandaki Province Members Mr Ganeshman Gurung, and ex-Olympian Mr Narayan Gurung. After dinner, an enjoyable traditional cultural show was performed by Rodhi Television Team.
