I recently had the opportunity to visit Malaysia upon the invitation of the Embassy of Nepal and NRNA NCC Malaysia as a speaker for Buddha Jayanti and Vesak Day 2023 in Kuala Lumpur. During my stay, I visited several important touristic places and had productive meetings with various organisations. On the morning of 29 April, I was warmly welcomed by Mr. Binod Thapa, President of NCC, and Mr. Netra KC, ICC member of NRNA, and had a productive meeting with NRNs at Hotel Grande International. Later in the day, I explored Kuala Lumpur and took a tour with Mr. Khagendra Neupane, the NRNA ICC Secretary. In the evening, I organised a meeting with representatives from the Embassy of Nepal, NRNA NCC Malaysia Tourism Board, and executive members of SOTTO of Nepal to discuss collaboration for tourism promotion. The meeting was productive and attended by many important figures. The following day, I visited the Batu Caves temple and had meetings with senior NRNs. I also visited Genting Highlands and the Istana Negara Malaysia. On 1 May, I traveled to Singapore and stayed there for three days before returning on 3 May. During my stay, I had a meeting with the NCC Malaysia team to discuss the upcoming Buddha Jayanti event and joined the welcome dinner organised by NCC. On 4 May, I participated in the Buddha Jayanti and Vesak Day 2023 event, where I delivered a keynote speech on the teachings and importance of Buddha. The program was attended by representatives from diplomatic missions of over 12 countries and members of various organisations. After the indoor program, I joined a roadshow to promote Buddha’s religious thoughts and participated in worshiping Buddha. On 5 May, I had a meeting with Mrs. Bhawana Panta, a senior pilot from Nepal Airlines, regarding the establishment of a flying school in Nepal and other possibilities related to aviation services. Later, I had a productive meeting with Ambassador Dilli Bhattrai, the Deputy Chief of Mission, and other embassy staff Nepal Embassy in Malesiya  to discuss the problems faced by Nepalis in Malaysia, including the social security fund and other issues, along with their potential solutions. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit the Nepal Airlines office in Kuala Lumpur to stay updated on the services provided by the airline. Lastly, I visited the KL Tower with ICC member Mr. Netra KC before flying to the Czech Republic on the evening of 5 May. Overall, my trip to Malaysia was a great success. I had the opportunity to visit important touristic places and had productive meetings with various organisations.
