Non-Resident Nepali Association(NRNA) is a global organization of Nepali origin people living outside of Nepal. The association was established in 2003 with the aim of uniting and connecting Nepali people living abroad and promoting their welfare and interests.
Through my involvement in the NRNA, I have had the opportunity to work with Nepali communities in different parts of the world, promoting Nepali culture, language, and traditions. One of my most significant contributions to the NRNA has been my involvement in the organization’s relief efforts following the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. As a member of the NRNA Disaster Management Committee, I worked tirelessly to mobilize resources, coordinate relief efforts and support the victims of the earthquake. It was a humbling experience, and I am proud to have been part of the team that provided much-needed aid to those affected by the disaster.
Additionally, I have participated in several NRNA conferences, seminars, and events, where I have engaged with fellow Nepalis on issues related to our country’s development, economy, and politics. The NRNA has provided me with a platform to voice my concerns, ideas, and suggestions, and to work together with others to bring about positive change in Nepal.
As an NRNA member, I have also had the opportunity to promote tourism in Nepal by working with the NRNA Tourism Promotion Committee. We have organized various events and activities to showcase Nepal’s natural beauty, rich culture, and hospitality to the world, contributing to the country’s economy and development.
In summary, my involvement with the NRNA has been a significant part of my journey as a Nepali living abroad. It has provided me with a platform to serve my fellow Nepalis, promote Nepal’s culture and traditions, and contribute to the country’s development. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this global community and look forward to continuing to serve and support the NRNA in the years to come.
