Hello, I am an entrepreneur, social worker, and education enthusiast from Nepal, and my name is Som Sapkota. I am a firm believer in creating positive change in my community and have always been passionate about serving my people. My roots run deep in the naturistic village of Baglung, where I was born and raised in 1974.

This village is where I first began to explore the world around me, and my educational journey started at Janjaagriti Secondary School in Kandebas, Baglung. The thrill of learning there is still fresh in my mind, and later, I completed my proficiency certificate at Mahindra Multiple College, Baglung. My desire to pursue my education led me to earn my Bachelor of Arts from Birendra Multiple College, Bharatpur, Chitwan.

Though my hotel and transportation businesses faced numerous obstacles due to the political, economic, and financial landscape of Nepal, I never gave up on my dreams. I knew I had to leave my beloved country to find the success and security I craved, and that journey took me to Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, and finally to the UK, where I have permanently settled. During my 26 years abroad, I have tirelessly worked towards promoting Nepal and serving the Nepalese community around the world.

As a dedicated member of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), I am committed to serving the Nepali community both in Nepal and abroad. It brings me great joy and a sense of purpose.
